2025 Season

CSA FARM BOX

What is a CSA Farm Box?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a system where consumers buy shares in a farm’s harvest before the growing season begins. In return, they receive a portion of the farm’s produce throughout the season. This model creates a direct relationship between farmers and consumers, providing several benefits.

As a member of Middlebury Farms you will receive the freshest certified organic produce. Harvested fresh each day and delivered to you! The season will start late June and goes until the end of October for a total of 18 weeks. See below for our pick up locations and home delivery options.  We have two options, you can choose pick up or delivery every week or every other week. All boxes are packed the same each week. We do not offer the option to replace or change your box.

Each box will be filled with 8-10 of the freshest vegetables from the farm that week. We send a weekly email with farm updates and a recipe. We pride ourselves for giving our customers a great variety of fresh veggies each week.

What we are planning on growing this season:

Garlic, Lettuce Mix, Carrots, Beets, Swiss Chard, Beans, Peas, Tomatoes, Tomatillos, Squash, Butternut Squash, Acorn Squash, Spaghetti Squash, Bell Peppers, Spicy Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Eggplant, Melons, Herbs, Kohlrabi, Fennel, Radishes, Turnips, Onions, Scallions, and more!

Why become a CSA Member

  • Diverse Selection of Specialty Vegetables: Enjoy a wide variety of specialty vegetables that you might not find at your local grocery store. CSAs often offer unique, seasonal produce that can enhance your culinary experiences.

  • Freshness and Longevity: Locally grown vegetables from a CSA are picked at peak ripeness and delivered to you quickly, ensuring they last longer and taste fresher compared to store-bought produce that may have been transported long distances.

  • Personal Connection: Strengthen your connection to your food by seeing where it’s grown and meeting the farmers who cultivate it. This direct relationship fosters a greater appreciation for the effort and care involved in producing your vegetables.

  • Supporting Local Economy: By joining a CSA, you contribute to the local economy, helping to sustain small-scale farmers and local businesses. Your investment supports agricultural practices and livelihoods in your community

  • Community Engagement: Becoming a CSA member often includes opportunities to participate in farm events and engage with fellow members, fostering a sense of community and shared purpose.

  • Seasonal Variety: Experience the benefits of eating seasonally with produce that reflects the natural cycles of growth, leading to a diet that is varied, nutritious, and aligned with the local growing season.

  • Transparency and Trust: Gain transparency about where and how your food is grown, leading to greater trust in the quality and safety of what you consume.

  • Financial Support for Farmers: Pre-paying for your CSA membership provides financial security for farmers, allowing them to plan and invest in their crops. This arrangement often results in lower prices for consumers, as the upfront payment helps offset production costs.
